Catholic Daughters will meet on Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00PM in Holy Family Social Hall. Educational State & National Contest Winners will be acknowledged. A guest at this meeting will be Janice Grundmeyer, State Re-gent. All Catholic women 18 years of age or older are welcome to join us. Lunch will follow the meeting.
Catholic Daughters of the Americas will be holding their annual Lifesaver Project for pre-vention of domestic abuse. Members will be
at Masses the weekend of April 28 & 29 collecting dona-tions and handing out Lifesaver candy. Please be gener-ous and help us stop this abuse in our area. Catholic Daughters thanks you for your continued support on this project and all of our other projects. As always we con-tinue our motto “Unity and Charity”.
Newman Catholic High School News All are invited to Cultural Night, on Tuesday, April 24th at 6:30PM. Come and enjoy an evening of the arts and see all the talent our young people have been working on this year at Newman. High school art club will have work dis-played along with some creative writing readings, and various music & instrumental performances. It will be a fun evening; hope to see you there.
College Ministry Program: Thank you to every-one who is making the College Ministry Pro-gram a success! Your overwhelming generos-ity to this mission is very humbling and ap-
preciated. We recently put together 37 packages to send off to our college students. - Parish Life Committee
First Holy Communion - One of the happy occa-sions of our Easter season is the celebration of First Holy Communion with our young children and their families! From our very first to each communion throughout our lives, Jesus is pre-
sent to us and wants to be part of us. May we eagerly welcome him!
Funerals - During the past week, we celebrated three funerals of parish members. I am always so appreciative of all who provide food for our funeral lunches, serve the meals, assist at Mass in various ministries and provide such care for families who are grieving. Parishioners have been so good in attending these funeral Masses as well which is a great support to families in their loss. This corporal work of mercy is a great witness to our grieving families. So many good things happen quietly behind the scenes in our parish. Thank you for your sense of disci-pleship!
Priest Appointments in the Archdiocese - Fr. Austin who will leave us in July will become pastor at Sacred Heart Parish in Maquoketa. The parish is linked to St. Law-rence in Otter Creek and St. Joseph of Preston. These parishes are south of the Dubuque area in our archdio-cese. I'm completing a six year term here at Epiphany and Manly and have been re-appointed to a second term as pastor here. I requested to continue here and am happy to be re-appointed. A new associate has not yet been named here, but we can trust that one will be ap-pointed. Pray for all our priests who will be in transitions to new places in July and for the two men who will be ordained at the end of May.
Baby Pantry. The Baby Pantry is in need of spring/summer clothing items for both boys & girls in sizes 2T, 3T & 5T. God bless all of our parishioners who support the Baby Pantry.
“Envelop our Youth Fundraiser” Support Youth In Mission…
Grab an envelope!
There are still several envelopes on the bulletin board at the main entrance to each church. Help
support our youth. Grab an envelope off of the board and give that amount. So if you grab envelope #23, give $23; envelope 50, give $50; envelope #1,
that's 1 more dollar towards our goal. If all envelopes are filled, we will raise over $2,500 to
send our parish youth and chaperones to Catholic Heart Workcamp in July!
