Plucking the Violin Strings1. Place the violin on your left shoulder and hold the upper bout with your left hand. Rest your chin on the chin rest.

2. Check that your elbow does not touch your waist! TIP: imagine there is small balloon between your elbow and waist that you cannot pop!

3. Form a backwards L with your right hand thumb and index fingers.

4. Place your right thumb at the base of the fingerboard and your index finger above the fingerboard to pluck the violin strings.

Eek Eek Eek go the Ants Ants Ants as they Dig Dig Dig in the Ground Ground Ground!
