Festivities celebrating The First Wednesday the El Cerrito Library expanded their services to 7-days a week.

The El Cerrito Library Foundation is a community based, non-profit organization

building support for a modern public library in El Cerrito that will meet the learning,

cultural, and recreational needs for persons of all ages. We believe that a great community library cannot be created with public funding

alone. That is why we are raising private funds to buy needed equipment and materials for

our new library. These are things bond proceeds cannot, by law, fund. We also are raising

funds for an endowment to support robust Library programming in perpetuity.
