Bloustein School of Planning and Publicity at Rutgers. He is also a founder of the Center for Iranian Research and Analysis. He was a candidate for President in the Ninth Presidential Elections in Iran (2005), but was disqualified because of his dual Iranian-American citizenship. Professor Amirahmadi’s pioneering work on dialogue, understanding and better relations between the United States and Iran is widely acknowledged. Professor Amirahmadi is the author of Revolution and Economic Transition: The Iranian Experience. He has edited ten books which include The United States and the Middle East: A Search for New Perspectives, and Iran and the Arab World. Professor Amirahmadi has appeared frequently as a commentator on CNN, FOX, BBC, ABC, PBS, and VOA.
