Tidal power, also called tidal energy, is a form of hydropower that converts the energy of tides into useful forms of power mainly electricity.

Tidal power is extracted from the Earth's oceanic tides; tidal forces are periodic variations in gravitational attraction exerted by celestial bodies. These forces create corresponding motions or currents in the world's oceans..

The magnitude and character of this motion reflects the changing positions of the Moon and Sun relative to the Earth, the effects of Earth‘s rotation, and local geography of the sea floor and coastlines.

-First: the movement of the waves is use to produce energy.

-Second: the generators use the energy produce by the movement of the waves to change it into electricity or heat.

-Third: we use this energy in any way.

Tidal barrages : make use of the potential energy in the difference in height between high

and low tides.

Dynamic tidal power is a theoretical generation technology that would exploit an interaction between potential and kinetic energies in tidal flows.

When the tide is highit passes through the turrbines that turn andproduce electricity. ThenThe tank become to be full.Next when there is low tides the tank beganto empty and when the water goes out it makes The turbines turn and Produce more electricity.

The country with the most investment in tidal power is the United Kingdom. Here in Spain there are tidal power plants inGalicia and in the the Southwest of Andalucía.
