My Personal StoryFor those who know me, I grew up in New Jersey in a very caring family household, and met some amazing friends along the way, from grammar school to high school at Staten Island Academy to college at USC.

My greatest passion lies directly in the Entertainment Industry, where I aspire to primarily act as well as produce and create my own comedies, dramas, epics, and horror movies (I love it all).

However, as most actors and artists, and now most people can admit to these days, keeping control of our personal finances has been an incredible challenge. But seeing how my Mom (as a single parent) has sacrificed so much for my happiness to follow my chosen career, while seeing her 403b [a Teacher's version of a 401k] reduced to a fraction of what she earned for so long, I've made a determined effort to solve the financial issue once and for all. But more importantly, I aspire to share what I have read and experienced to my friends, family, and countless others who wish to live a better lifestyle, and not one that's "below their means." Last year in 2009, I sat down to read some of the best books I could find about what makes people wealthy and what keeps people poor. (Cont'd)

My Personal Story In fact, I owe it to my Audition Teacher at USC, Joseph Hacker, who recommended the classic book by Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad,Poor Dad.

He told me if there were any book he deemed most important when stepping into the real world, it would have been that one. Following his word, I dove into Kiyosaki's book as well as countless others on Finance and Business. I'm more than willing to recommend the books I've read with anyone who seeks it, but one of the key topics Kiyosaki explores is that rich people "do not work for money. They have money work for them," and by that he also referred to the fact that most jobs will never leave you fully financially secure. I'm very sure that I do not wish to be working forever, nor do I want to squander my years right now living below my means, so I researched everything I could find that would allow me to live a life that's free from financial worries, and could allow me to care for my family, my friends, and my passion for a prosperous acting career.

The funny thing is that actors and people in the Entertainment Industry are especially used to the idea of PASSIVE INCOME or otherwise known as RESIDUAL INCOME, a constant flow of income from doing something once (like a movie or TV show). Rich people use the same thing, and they apply it in various ways, some examples include: 1. Real Estate Investing -- getting money from your tenants every month that is larger than what you paid on the mortgage payment and other expenses each month 2. Intellectual Property -- books, inventions, patents, trademarks, movies, TV shows, music (or used to), etc. -- this is where Royalties and Residuals come to actors and others in the form of residual payment. 3. Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) -- also referred to as Home or Referral Businesses -- Businesses that are structured on customers and distributors (or other people who want to sell/market the product for money) -- it's pretty much Word-of-Mouth Advertising, which we all do but probably don't get paid for it, especially when it comes to movies we love and recommend. Unfortunately, many people will immediately and incorrectly skew these businesses as what are commonly seen as "pyramid schemes." These businesses legitimately sell a product or service to customers, as well as offer a potential life-changing opportunity for those who work for the company, depending on how much they want to help others. The company then pays the Word-of-Mouth representatives within the business who sell the product/service. These reps can also sponsor fellow reps into the company and receive residual income from their fellow reps when the new reps are able to sell their product/service to customers. It is a business of leading and helping others, since that is the only way people can make money in MLM.

My Personal Story (Cont'd) Imagine a talent agency, for example, in the structure of an MLM. As an agent, you make the 10% commission off each of your own acting clients, but at the same time are looking for fellow talent agents to help lead and find their own acting clients. You teach your new talent agents how to find fellow actors to represent. Your new talent agents will still make 10% off their actors' work, but for your leadership, you make an additional 2% off helping each of your first-level talent agents. And pretend that 2% is the same compensation from each agent on all your levels, because you helped your agents become leaders of their own. Imagine what your income would look like if some agent on the 4th level happened to represent Tom Cruise who makes at least $25 million per movie.

Granted, this is solely an example of understanding Network Marketing. But the honest truth is that there are plenty of companies that offer this form of compensation, which in turn helps provide average people a lifelong income, simply by helping other people succeed.

For people who have ever been invited to a Mary Kay make-up/purse party or an Herbalife global wellness opportunity or any Home Opportunity Meeting, that is Network Marketing.

Normally, I would have been scared of these things in the past, but after reading Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, and countless other Entrepreneurs who explain the true value of this type of business, I pressed onward to learn more. ** Note: I agree that there ARE pyramid and Ponzi schemes out there in this world, but a true Network Marketing company provides a Product/Service and you get paid when you sell the Product/Service, not on just recruiting. I'm more than happy to discuss these matters to any who are curious about what they find. (Cont'd)

My Personal Story (Cont'd) I personally have been invited to see companies from Herbalife, World Financial Group, ACN, and have seen the business model used by people from The Secret , like Bob Proctor and Joe Vitale. Plus, I went to ACN's International Training Event in December to learn more as well as see what this type of business has done for people.

I saw a 23 year old who would never have to work a job one more day in his life, who also used the residual income he makes to retire his mom and cure her from the cancer she had contracted.

I saw a mother in her 50s who had to support a jobless husband and son, and with a mortgage swallowing them completely, she was able to pay off all the debt and live life the way she wanted to with her family, knowing they could follow whatever ambitions they chose to do now

I even saw a very old Russian gentleman who could barely speak proper English get up on the podium and explain how he simply laid out the opportunity to people w/ such a language-handicap against him, only to promise that he would share this blessed opportunity to his family back home in Russia.(Cont'd)

My Personal Story (Cont'd) It is one thing for me to learn about these topics of Money Management and Business in books. It's another thing to see it right in front of your eyes, to see how many people are free...literally free from the doldrums of living an unfulfilled "below your means" livelihood. As I've gathered from everything I've seen in Hollywood, and in books and videos like Rich Dad, Poor Dad , Think and Grow Rich , and The Secret , and in learning and seeing first hand the power of business models like Network Marketing, a great key to wealth and success comes from helping and supporting others, encouraging them to be better, to take risks and be willing to fail, to share knowledge with others and to work as a team. This is why when I discovered PeopleString, I felt this was a Godsend. Because people could use new tools like social media to benefit others, and in doing so benefit their lives forever. I still aspire to retire my Mom back in California, where she's always wanted to live out her remaining years, after teaching for 25 years. I still aspire to create and collaborate and work on films in Hollywood with all my friends and new people who keep coming into my life. (Cont'd)

I will never let my acting/filmmaking career die out, but I am especially going to be willing to take time to look out for my friends and others who I meet if I discover ways to benefit us all, in this case I realize money has become a popular topic these days, for those who aspire to still do what they love to do without having to give it up completely because of money problems. Our life was meant to be destined for better, not for worse. But it all comes down to the choices we personally make in life. PeopleString is only one of many tools out there I have found.
