• Think of it a resume of you and your blog
• It tells Brands and PR companies great things about you and your blog and why they would be working with you

Why do you need a media kit?
1. Shows you are serious about blogging as a business
2. Makes it easy for both bloggers and brands to find out about each other
3. Gives you something you can send to Brands or PR Agencies when they want to work with you or when you pitch to them
What if you are a Newbie Blogger?
• It doesn’t matter if you are a newbie blogger or a professional blogger
• Newbie’s will just have to update their media kit more frequently

TYPES OF MEDIA KITS
Types of media kits
• Page format (8 1/2 x 11) which can be used when you send it to a Brand or an agency.
• Can be available as a PDF for download or you can place a form on your blog so you can who is requesting it before you send it out
• Post card format (4 inches x 6 inches) that you can keep in your handbag or jacket pocket and hand out when you are at a conference
