1. Connecting a katakana and its sounda) Listen to the CD and circle “a” or “b” for a correct katakana on each.

b) Lesten to the CD and fill each katakana in the chart below. CD reads each sound not so slow, so just try to keep it up!

2. Looks similar in hiragana and katakanaSome of katakana look similar to hiragana in the same sound.For example, “ri” in katakana and hiragana look almost same, however, there should be a different part as below;

The left one is hiragana and right is katakana, then look closer in the circles.In the hiragana “ri” at the end of the first stroke reversed as in the circle, on the other hand, the end in the katakana “ri” it stops as in the circle.
