About our school “Mir Znaniy”

and

about our sport hopes

Our school is situated in Moscow region. It will take you only 40 minutes to get to Moscow, the capital of Russia. The official name of our school is “Non-state secondary comprehensive school specialized in learning foreign languages “Mir Znaniy”. “Mir Znaniy” in Russian means “The World of Knowledge” in English. The pupils of our school learn English, French, Italian.

Sports plays an important role in the child’s life

• We are proud of our school because there are two well-equipped gyms, a swimming pool, a real football pitch, facilities to play mini golf and table tennis, a hall for aerobics and break dance.

• One of them was Mariya Konstantinovna Zagorskay (born in 1968).

• In 2002 she got an international award “Philanthropist”.

• In 2003 she took part in the creation 10 serial film as artist assistant.

Meet Mariya Zagorskaya, five times Russia paralympic champion in horse-riding

• 1) We learnt that in December 2011 she got a grant for her training for London Paralympic Games 2012.

• 2) In 2000 she became Russia paralympic champion in horse-riding.

• 3) In 2006 she was a bronze

• winner in Parapympic Games.

Besides … she is a member of Russian Artists Union

• that she shared a lot of interesting facts from her sport career and about her hobbies.

• She told us that she used to teach in art club• We got excited to hear that• also she is a poetess. Her several • books with poems she designed• by herself.

We’d like to welcome you to our school museum of Sport Glory

• There is a number of students who go in for various sports after classes. Some of them attend clubs at school the others go to different sports societies. They are both girls and boys.

• We’d like you to meet our two boys. One of them is Todorochko Alexander who is 14 years old. He is a member of a sport club “Silver sharks” and plays hockey. He does training in Moscow. His coach used to train Pavel Datsuk who is in NHL now.

“Sport is my life. Actually skiing is my life”

• Anton Smolenskiy is 17 years old. He is in Russian National Junior alpine ski team.

• “I like the process of preparing for the season and the competitions. Now I am of FIS age thus I can go to any competition to any country. It’s rather difficult to combine both sports and studies but I do my best to do that. I have friends both at school and in our sport team and I always try to make new friends when I am on gathering trainings. Everybody among young boys and girls are full of desire to be the best in sports ”.
