Location specific contests to engage and build relations with target community for our client, GoGujarati. GoGujarati is a mobile app for Gujarat people across the world. We decided to do a contest for Ahmedabad and Surat two of the most active Gujarat cities on social media. Introduction

GoGujarati is an initiative to bring together the Gujarati community from around the world via the GoGujarati mobile app and other digital platforms including Facebook and Twitter!

Campaign Ideation

We wanted to connect with the hardcore Gujarati community – who love their Gujarat!

We wanted to create a contest that the community would not only enjoy but would bond with!

Outcome:

We launched region-specific contests“#AmdavadSpecial” and “#TrueSurati”

Results

We see two clear spikes in our followers due to the contests!

Compared to our average daily follower increase, we saw a 7x jump during #AmdavadSpecial & #TrueSurati

Results

Quantitative:

The two contests were held in consecutive weeks. In this 2 week period we saw a total increase of 120 followers!

Qualitative:

We connected well with the Gujarati community and we find a deeper engagement & interactivity after the contests
