DESCRIPTION
A map of the proposed nearly $3 billion upgrade to the Transco natural gas pipeline that will, for the first time in 50 years, change the direction gas flows along the pipeline. The change will allow Williams to flow cheap, abundant Marcellus Shale gas to the south and southwest. The change will make the pipeline bidirectional and includes building new pipeline and upgrading compressor stations. Williams is currently in the pre-filing stage with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
