Shop products. Each photo made has a picture of the product on in either a primary optical area or in the centre on the photograph. Each photograph includes different colours and symbols that relate to the product itself. We focus on the product being advertised in each image and the information that the photograph on a whole provides. For example one product is called ‘Nutriganics’ which includes all environmentally friendly ingredients. We know this through the symbols of trees, birds, water and leaves. As all these things are part of a friendly environment and we need these things to live. Also the colour green connotes life, nature and the earth which also relates tremendously to this advertisement. CompositionEach product being advertised is located in a corner optical area. Somewhere which we tend to look without even realising it. This effect the photographer uses makes us look at the product then the information and images around it. The bright colours that contrast against each other also grab the audience’s attention as they make the photograph look more attractive and easy on the eye. The location of the body shop logo is in the centre of each image, and stands out as it is surrounded by symbols that relate to the product being advertised. Techniques usedThere are not many techniques used as these photographs have been made on a computer either with software such as photo shop. They have made the same shape with symbols throughout each photo made and are also in the exact same position each time.Strengths & WeaknessesAs these advertisements do not include much text or information, the audience might not know if these products have been realised yet in stores or not. So this is maybe a weakness I would pick up on if I was creating my own advertisement photographs. However the colours and patterns used in each photograph are very bright and attractive. These two things will help we with my photography work and what to include for an advertisement. The appropriate information and where images are positioned.
