Sewage Treatment Plant

Sewage treatment is a kind of wastewater treatment that removes pollutants from industrial and municipal sewage. To remove impurities and generate treated wastewater that is safe to discharge into the environment, physical, chemical, and biological techniques are utilised. The main processes involve removing as much solid material as possible, then converting the remaining soluble material into a floc that entraps any remaining fine solids and can then be settled as sludge, leaving a liquid that is largely free of solids and has a significantly lower concentration of pollutants.

Moving Bed Bio-Reactors (MBBR)

The MBBR process is a biofilm method that is frequently used to expand the capacity of existing activated sludge tanks.

Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR)

SBR is a batch treatment that involves a process of primary settling, aeration, secondary settling, and decanting the treated sewage.

Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR)

MBR is a membrane-based wastewater treatment system that combines microfiltration, Nano-filtration, and ultrafiltration with biological wastewater treatment.

Electrocoagulation (EC)

EC works by passing a direct current through metal electrodes submerged in the effluent, forcing the electrode plates to dissolve into the effluent.

Facultative aerated Lagoon (FAL)

Physio-chemical activities are used to treat wastewater in FAL. To improve treatment, an aeration system is employed to supply oxygen to the wastewater.

Trickling Filter (TF)

In comparison to activated sludge technologies, TF is noted for their process stability, operating economy, and low energy usage.

Waste Stabilization Pond Systems (WSPS)

WSPS are made up of a parallel succession of anaerobic, facultative, and maturation ponds.

Activated Sludge Process (ASP)

ASP is a sewage and industrial wastewater treatment method that uses air and a biological floc comprising bacteria and protozoa.

Biological Filtration and Oxygenated Reactor Technology (BT)

In BIOFOR Technology, primary tube settlers with high rates and integrated thickening save space.

Fluidized Aerated Bed (FAB)

Biological oxidation has two phases. Sludge digestion and primary sedimentation are not used in FAB.

Cyclic Activated Sludge Process (CASP)

Because suspended biomass is utilized to treat wastewater biologically, CASP is an example of a dispersed system.

Submerged Aeration Fixed Film Technology (SAFF Technology)

It is developed for biological treatment and purification of industrial and municipal wastewater streams, and may also be used for oil spill bioremediation.

Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket Process (UASB Process)

The rising material is deflected downward by USAB, and only the cleared or treated effluent exits via the top outlet.
