In class…

Question Raise your hand. Turning in work This is done by table. Make sure

everyone’s papers face the same way and are in nice, neat stacks.

During testing There is absolutely no talking. More on this during testing days.

Off limits: my desk, any electronics, locked cabinets and the windows. If you need to borrow something (stapler etc.) or open a window, ASK ME. Otherwise no dice.

No food. No drink. No cell phone. Do you want to have

your phone taken up until the end of the day? Do you want to pay $15 to get it back?

Do you want bugs in your stuff?

Regarding your workload

Extra-curricular activities are your choice. Academic success is required by the school.

Homework in this class is minimal. Most assignments are due in class. Irrelevant talking is a sure path to low grades. Projects and tests will require preparation outside the classroom.

As you will see on next slide, you are responsible for your textbook in class and at home. If it is too heavy to lug around, GET A LOCKER. Use it.

MATERIALS

Listed in your syllabus. Check them off as you get them. 1.5” binder: white with a WINDOW. A dictionary to English. The bigger, the better. Pens and pencils, college ruled paper Your textbook

You and you alone are responsible for the textbook you are assigned. If they are lost, you will be forced (not by me) to pay for them. They are extremely expensive.

ALL OF THIS IS TO BE BROUGHT EVERY DAY
