Thames River The Thames River was where they got their

drinking water.

It acted as a water-highway through England.

Many people relied on it.

What was it used for? Many people used it as a water-like-highway and a

whole bunch of people used it for it’s transportation.

Many people threw their “trash” into the river witch made it unhealthy to drink and swim in.

The Great Stink The Great Stink was a time period when parliament

was in a meeting but they had to dismiss the meeting because the Thames River was filled was filled with so much filth that it started to stink very badly and they ended up having to dismiss their meeting.

Present Day Thames River The present day Thames River is a bit cleaner than it

used to be.

Many people fish there.

It acts as a highway to get to one side of London to the other.

Thames River Back Then Many people through filth and trash into the Thames

River

Others would even sometimes even throw dead bodies into the Thames river.

It smelled really bad because of all the wastes that were thrown in the River.
