• Pick List re-organization & Product re-layout– Products were rearranged in accordance

to their frequency and in alphabetical order– Pick Lists were generated in the same

order to minimize traveling distance– Increase of 30.33% efficiency for every

• Identification of redundant steps in processes• Excessive checks on physical stock were identified• These checks were redundant through a change in the

system of the earlier pick and pack process that stresses on accountability of the staff handling these stock

current offerings and also to break into a new market i.e. the youths

Mode of Collaboration

The drinks are formulated jointly with EYS by a team of SAS staff members, where special techniques were employed to ensure standardization, while maintaining their desired effects.

Students involvements

The project involved final year project students from the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences (DPHM) and Diploma in Biomedical Sciences (DBMS).

A survey on Chinese herbal drinks to ascertain the market potential for the ready-to-drink Chinese herbal drinks, providing a platform for the herbal drinks launch.

Students, with the assistance of the Centre of Innovation and Enterprise (CIE), came up with label designs for the herbal drinks.
