Hi Margarita, how was your weekend?

It was wonderful, but it was a big reminder that the summer is over!

I know. You sound sad about that!

It’s getting cold! I don’t want to be stuck in the house all day.

I understand, but there are lots of things you can do outdoors!

Such as what?

Well, if it’s not too cold, you could take a stroll or go on a hike.

I guess so. Hey, one thing we did last week was watch the northern lights. They were fantastic! We were a little cold while watching, but they were so beautiful the weather didn’t really bother us!

That’s great Margarita! Did you know that the scientific name for the northern lights is Aurora Borealis?

I didn’t know that. They sure are beautiful!

That is for sure. But, you know, there are more things you do when there’s a chill in the air.

Go ahead! I’m listening.

You could rake some leaves with your children.

Ok, we’ve been talking about outdoor activities. What if it’s too cold to be outside?

Halloween is coming. You could carve a pumpkin.

I could also bake a pumpkin pie with my children.

Now you are talking!

I just thought of a way to combine indoor and outdoor activities. I could go on a road trip. That way I could be outdoors and still be warm.

Now you have many good ideas! I think you’ll have a great fall.

I think so too. Thank you!

Let’s discuss some great outdoor fall activities
