Greetings everyone! As we move into the latter part of the Summer, I don’t believe anyone is disappointed that seven full months of what 2020 brought us is GONE! We are opti-mistic that, moving for-ward, things for all of us

and the United States of America will continue to see improvements, particularly when we con-quer a vaccine for COVID-19…..that is looking promising!

It has been wonderful at Legacy Tifton for our residents to ease up somewhat on the tight re-strictions we have been under since March. Res-idents are smiling and enjoying see their loved ones at the Visitation Stations we set up and appointment times fill up fast. On Wednesday, July 15th our residents in both Personal Care and Specialty Care resumed communal dining in their respective dining rooms, and they are some tickled folks! They are having a ball! We are go-ing to remain optimistic God will continue taking

care of all of us until we are able to open the doors to what we all know and remember as a “normal way of life.”

For those of you who may not know, I am going to offer something new at Legacy on a trial basis, known as respite care. If you know anyone who would be interested in having their loved one looked after 24/7 while they recuperate from an illness, injury, surgery, or go on vacation and/or just need a break, please ask them to call me at (229) 386-2273 and I will talk with them about what Legacy can offer to help them on a tempo-rary basis.

I hope each of you can find comfort knowing we continue caring for, loving and having fun with your loved one daily at Legacy Village of Tifton. We consider every resident and every resident’s family member a part of our family as well.God Bless Legacy Village and the United States of America!

Nurse Natalie’s Corner

Did you know that your heart beats approxi-matly 100,000 times a day? The heart may be small, but it has the large duty of pumping blood through 60,000 miles of blood vessels

and veins that nourish your organs and tissues with the blood they need.

Physicians recommend daily exercise, low sodium intake, sleeping at least sev-

en hours each night, and maintaining a lower stress lifestyle to keep your heart healthy. Smoking greatly increases your risk of heart disease; so quitting is also a top recommendation from physicians.

You should get your heart checked every year during your annual checkup! If you need help scheduling an appointment or have any questions just see Nurse Na-talie!

Stay well!
