Conflict ResolutionConflict resolution means a process of resolving dispute or disagreement.The process of ending a disagreement between two or more people in a constructive manner for all parties involved.Conflict resolution is designed in Schools to provide students with a neutral, safe, environment where they can express their point of view and discuss issues in a mutually satisfactory manner.

Process Curriculum

An approach to conflict resolution education characterized by devoting a specific time to teaching the foundation abilities, principles, and one or more of the problem solving processes of conflict resolution as a separate course, distinct curriculum, or daily lesson plan. This type of negotiation helps disputants envision scenarios and generate options for achieving results that satisfy both. **

Mediation ProgramA conflict resolution education program in which selected individuals (teachers and/or students) are trained in the principles and foundation abilities of conflict resolution and in the mediation process in order to provide neutral third-party facilitation to assist those in conflict to reach a resolution.

Peaceable Classroom ApproachThe Peaceable Classroom approach integrates conflict resolution into the curriculum and daily management of the classroom. Teachers use the cooperative learning and academic controversy methods.Students work in small groups to achieve shared learning goals.

Peaceable School ApproachTeachers learn to mold the behavior they teach through direct instruction, and schools assume the values they seek to nurture.Students and teachers make decisions together about classroom norms at the beginning of the school year and that teachers give early instruction in problem solving and decision making so the skills can be used and reinforced throughout the year.
