Layout

In this section, you can configure how blocks with different blog information will be

arranged in the frontend. We have defined four layout types: desktop layouts for the main

blog page and for a post page, and the same layouts for mobile devices.

The configuration is easy and convenient since all the layout blocks are visualized.

Desktop Post

Arrange blocks as you want them to be displayed on the post page in the frontend. Choose

one of several layouts and edit the arrangement of the blocks.

Page 10: Blog Pro 2.0 User Guide

BLOG PRO USER GUIDE 10

You can drag, add, delete, and interchange the position of the blocks as you need.

To move a block, press the left mouse button, and drag and drop the block into the

necessary place.

To add a block, click the “Plus” button and select one of the available variants.

Page 11: Blog Pro 2.0 User Guide

BLOG PRO USER GUIDE 11

If you want to delete a block, click the basket in its upper right corner.

This is how the desktop post layout looks in the frontend:

Page 12: Blog Pro 2.0 User Guide

BLOG PRO USER GUIDE 12

Desktop List

Arrange the blocks on the main blog page. The actions with the blocks are the same as for

the Desktop Post layout.

You can arrange posts in list and grid.

List: Grid:

Page 13: Blog Pro 2.0 User Guide

BLOG PRO USER GUIDE 13

Mobile Post

Posts on mobile devices, such as tablets and smartphones, have a 2-column layout. You

can choose whether to place the blocks on the left or on the right side.

The screenshots below show how a mobile post looks in the frontend. To see the tab with

categories and other blocks, a customer should swipe it from the left or right side.

Mobile List

The main blog page also has a 2-column layout on mobile devices just as the Mobile Post

layout.

2) Display Number of Views: Enable this option to display how many store visitors have

already viewed a post.

3) Display Print Link: Select Yes to allow customers print a post. It’s useful if you write

articles containing helpful information to your customers.

4) Display Categories: Enable the option to display categories a post belongs to.

5) Display Tags: Enable this option to display the tags related to a post topic. Due to tags,

customers will be able to find all articles with the same topic.

6) Date Format: Decide if the publishing date will be displayed in the standard format or as

the number of days passed from publishing.

URLs and Redirects

1) URL Postfix: The .HTML postfix shows search engines that the page is static, and,

therefore, is reliable. This postfix will help you to improve your store SEO.

1) Minimal Posts Number per Tag: Define the minimal quantity of posts that a tag should

have.

Page 18: Blog Pro 2.0 User Guide

a block with a 3D tag cloud to the main blog page and post pages.

3) 3D Cloud: Height: Define the height of the 3D cloud block.

applied to minor tags (they are of a smaller size than the popular ones).

7) 3D Cloud: Tag Highlight Color: Input the HEX code of the highlight color.

RSS

Due to this option, you and your customers will be able to parse an RSS feed from your

blog and insert it into a Magento RSS feed page. It will allow customers to get the latest

posts, comments and other content from the blog without visiting the store.

1) Display Link on List: Select Yes to display the link to the RSS feed on the main blog page.

2) Post Feed: Select Yes to allow customers to insert posts into an RSS feed page.
