A2 Media Portfolio Initial Ideas

Video with a main character- an odd man who has a tail- my main actor is a friend of mine, and I will just need to buy a fake tail for him to use with his normal clothes.

Everyone is really scared and runs away from him. He loves this, and uses this to get what he wants, until one day when some people decide to stand up to him.

I will have clips of him walking around Newcastle quayside being proud of his tale, even though people give him funny looks.

He ends up getting beaten up by some people who are sick of thinking he can order them about because he has a scary tail.

I would have cuts throughout the video showing the band playing the song- to do this I can take the camera to one of my own band practices in a studios (DK Studios in Washington) and get them to pretend to be playing the song, and take extra footage of close ups on the guitar and drums

Music video for the song- “The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret” by Queens of the Stone Age I will have a scenario where two people are seeing each other

in secret, and they decide to not tell people. The girl keeps the secret and doesn’t tell anyone, but the guy tells his best mate, who tells another mate, who tells his girlfriend, etc etc.

The video will be a time lapse of the people going round and telling people, and in the end it will be known by everyone and the two having a secret relationship have a big argument.

In between this footage I will have cuts to a and playing the song, like In the previous idea.

A band walking around a Ghost town/ old unused industrial estate

Trying to find out what happened there

Film trailer for comedy horror about a teenager who has a twisted possession by a evil demon, that rather than just hurting people around him like the stereotypical horror, he just plays funny pranks on people that the demon finds amusing.

Target audience of 15+

Idea 4

Short film about the life of a student, and how they deal with the problems they may come into.

For example: Family Problems, not knowing what to do in life (career etc.), girlfriend problems, drinking, smoking, possibly friends doing drugs.

This will meet a huge target audience and it will be easy to cast as I am in college, and I can easily get students to act in it.
