Theories• Propps’ character theory;Each character fits into Propps’ character types. Each protagonist manages to fill the role of both the princess (in danger and need) and the hero (because they lead our story). Satan is the villain of the story.• Todorov’s narrative theory;We follow the Todorov theory of narrative, as the trailer begins with an equilibrium, which is then disrupted once they discover the evil which lurks within the school.

Inspiration from

research

• From our research completed of analysis of the horror genre and target audience we took a range of ideas from pre-existing horror films and non-horror films, such as; The Rite (2011), Se7en (1995), The Gallows (2015) and Lights Out (2016).

Narrative• 3 teens (a jock, a princess and a nerdy introvert) are in a school.• One of them discovers a satanic spell/summoning in a book.• They break into the school and perform the spell/summoning.• All candles blow out and the 7 deadly sins are carved into their skin.• Then we will continue to follow the horror trailer convention using fast pace

cutting from shot to shot.
