Vocabulary some, any, much, many, food, countable and uncountable

nouns

1 Look at the picture and answer the questions on page 2.

Preparing the activity as a team game. Make a photocopy of

each page for each team.

Divide the class up into teams of three or four players. Give each team

page 2 only.

Tell the pupils to complete the gaps in the questions (they can not

answer the questions until they have the picture, page 1). Do the

first two as a class and then give the teams five to ten minutes to

complete the other questions. Go over the answers with the class.

The teams look at the picture to find the answers. If you have made

photocopies of page 1 for each team, give them a copy of the picture,

face down. When you say Turn over, the teams turn the picture over

and look for the answers to the questions. Give them a time limit of

eight to ten minutes.

When the time is up, the teams swap papers and correct them (you

may also want to distribute different coloured pens so they cannot

change any answers). Go over the answers. The teams count up the

points to find the winning team.

Preparing the activity for individual grammar practice. Make a photocopy

of page 1 to use with the whole class, or photocopy one per pair.

Photocopy page 2 for each pupil.

Do the first two questions with the class and then tell the pupils to

complete the rest individually. They should look at the picture in order

to complete the questions.

Vocabulario some, any, much, many, comida, nombres contables e

1 Look at the picture and answer the questions on page 2.
