The evaluation of the poster is based on the “Arts & Science CO-OP Student Poster Guide”. Poster templates and other helpful information are available on the CO-OP website.

Requirements Points Score Poster Design Guidelines

- Design elements have the appropriate font size, balance of figuresand text (see the Arts & Science CO-OP Student Poster Guide fordetails).

- Poster is titled appropriately and author(s) and affiliation(s) areprovided.

- Graphics (pictures and graphs) are appropriate and adhere to theguidelines (e.g. graphs do not have backgrounds).

- All graphics have been numbered consecutively and have captions.- The poster is free of non-scientific elements (flowers, emojis, etc.)

and is professional in appearance.- The poster does not contain any spelling/grammatical or other

formatting errors (inconsistent punctuation, mixed use of bulletpoints, etc.).

Poster Content - For research placements, the content should have the following

content: Introduction/Background, Methods, Results and Discussion,Conclusion and References. All content is appropriately presented.An abstract is optional but not required. Your “Conclusions” sectionmay also include recommendations for future research.

- For project-based placements, the content should have thefollowing content: Work Term Summary & Employer Organization,About the Program or Projects, Your Responsibilities, AcademicConnection, Self Reflection and References.

- All sections should have the appropriate headings and the contentshould be consistent with examples provided in the Arts & ScienceCO-OP Student Poster Guide.

- All content is relevant to the work placement and presented in anorganized and concise manner.

- Questions are answered clearly with confidence and the studentdemonstrates a firm understanding of their project.
