1 CO-OP Poster Presentation Evaluation Student name: Program: Date: The evaluation of the poster is based on the “Arts & Science CO-OP Student Poster Guide”. Poster templates and other helpful information are available on the CO-OP website. Requirements Points Score Poster Design Guidelines - Design elements have the appropriate font size, balance of figures and text (see the Arts & Science CO-OP Student Poster Guide for details). - Poster is titled appropriately and author(s) and affiliation(s) are provided. - Graphics (pictures and graphs) are appropriate and adhere to the guidelines (e.g. graphs do not have backgrounds). - All graphics have been numbered consecutively and have captions. - The poster is free of non-scientific elements (flowers, emojis, etc.) and is professional in appearance. - The poster does not contain any spelling/grammatical or other formatting errors (inconsistent punctuation, mixed use of bullet points, etc.). 20 Poster Content - For research placements, the content should have the following content: Introduction/Background, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and References. All content is appropriately presented. An abstract is optional but not required. Your “Conclusions” section may also include recommendations for future research. - For project-based placements, the content should have the following content: Work Term Summary & Employer Organization, About the Program or Projects, Your Responsibilities, Academic Connection, Self Reflection and References. - All sections should have the appropriate headings and the content should be consistent with examples provided in the Arts & Science CO-OP Student Poster Guide. - All content is relevant to the work placement and presented in an organized and concise manner. 45
