In 2017 the AIBs - the acclaimed international media excellenceawards - will continue their tradition of celebrating creativity andrewarding success in factual productions across television, radioand online.In their 13th year, these awards provide a truly international
accolade. They offer both peer and external review of entriesand are independent of any commercial or political influence.The standard of competition is high and the annual awards galaevening in London is a highly-anticipated, sell-out event. The AIBs are highly respected throughout the international
media industry. Entrants and attendees describe the AIBs as"intelligent", "inspirational" and "thought-provoking". This issupported by the immense number of high quality entries thatare submitted by broadcasters, independent production housesand online platforms on every continent. These companies recognise that winning an AIB is an
important accolade. In fact, an AIB is such a significant rewardthat potential winners fly in to London especially for our Awardsnight. In 2016 we welcomed senior executives, editors,producers, directors and journalists from the UK, Germany,Australia, Argentina, Sweden, India, Denmark, France and the
USA among many other countries. The AIBs are acknolwedged as an important competition in
global media, reflected in the number of senior programmemakers and industry figures who devote their efforts to judingthe AIBs each year. The 2017 AIBs will be presented during a glittering awards
evening at LSO St Luke's in London on 1 November, a venue weare returning to by popular request. It's a fabulous and inspiringevening celebrating all aspects of international broadcasting infront of an audience of international media leaders.A major promotional drive runs from April to ensure that the
entire global factual production industry is aware of the AIBsand respond to the call to entry. The AIB is the international industry association
for TV, radio, online and mobile broadcasting.
Founded in 1993, the AIB provides a range of
services to an influential global membership.
The AIB produces regular market intelligence
briefings exclusively for members, offering
independent insight into developments in media
markets worldwide. These briefings highlight
opportunities and inform members’ strategic
planning work.
The AIB publishes the international media
magazine, called The Channel. Available online, it
carries longer articles, profiles and analysis. The
AIB also publishes special topical magazines,
such as The Business of Radio, released to
coincide with World Radio Day.
The combined reach of all the AIB's activities is
more than 27,000 media leaders, executives,
editors, producers, technologists, regulators,
parliamentarians and journalists.

networking events held in different cities
worldwide. These bring together key opinion-
formers in media, government and regulatory
bodies, enabling a frank exchange of ideas and
