Dear Sir or Madame,
My name is Xabier Yáñez Cabanas,one and a half year ago I finished my master degree in the Higher School of Architecture at A Coruña, Spain.
I have just finished an internship at Krill Architecture as an assistant-architect in Rotterdam. Now I am looking for an office where I can use this experience and skills in a new environment, as an intern or employee; an office which will also bring me new influences and skills.
During this period i have been developing diferents projects in two dutch offices. I have learnt how work in a architecture office, how to work as a team, working together for the same challenge, always trying to learn ofthe people of my team, with the necessary discipline to become a good team player.
This experience also let me learn to work alone, taking responsability and work under the pressure to develop a good end lines.
One of the things that I am interested of architecture is to do a racional architecture for the people. To do architecture with a meaning that can be a answer for a problem, not only a nice object that as well, with a one strategie that can resolve the problems of each location. Using materials and a estructural solutions as a smart way with the less impact in the environment as be possible.
My graduation Project for the Architecture Master in the University of A Coruña is a example of that. I developed a médium medical care center in a small town close to Santiago de Compostela,The project was not only a object, was a definition between a urbanistic problem and a location problem ,defining the architecture.
I have always understood that to develop good work it is necessary to be in an appropriate enviroment. It helps to do the things that I like, to accomplish them and to do things better. For that reason I have selected your of-fice, because the way you understand the architecture is really appreciate for me, and I would like to share my knowledge with your team to develop new projects.
With this e-mail and the addition of a brief curriculum of my career works, I would like to know what is the pos-sibility of obtain a interview of work and show you my skills and my work.

The training placement began on 27/02/2012 and has ended on 08/06/2012, with an overall length of 15 weeks.The trainee fullfilled the proposed work program and has carried out the following tasks:-Doing design proposals for the design of a temporary dome by making sketches, maquettes and drawings.-Doing design proposals for small competitions.-Making technical elaborations for the design of a sustainable house, working on a several concepts for the detailing of windows and walls.-Making presentations drawings and booklets, using photoshop, Indesign.
He has acquired the following skills and abilities:-Xabier has acquired skills to work on technical drawings and design details for the Dutch practice. He has been approching the task of detailing both in a 2 and 3 dimensional way, leading to aesthetical sound details.-Xabier has acquired the skill to make evocative proposals with little means.-Xabier has gained insight in Dutch technical matters concerning realizations of designs.
Xabier proofed to be a pleasant and hands-on co-worker fitting well in a design team. In the period that he worked with us he grew professionally. We wish him the best in his future career.
