Ultimate Responsibility

Pursuant to the Customs Modernization Act and Informed Compliance Act, the importer is totally responsible for the correct classification of its imported merchandise. Liability for incorrect classification cannot be subrogated to an agent (i.e., customs broker or freight forwarder) of your company.
