Welcome to worship! As the world prepares for egg hunts and waits for spring sales, we invite you to discover the deeper meaning of Easter. Whether you can quote Luke’s account of the resurrection or think that Easter morning is when a rabbit looks for his shadow, this is the place where you can find a faith that makes a difference. So bring your hopes and fears, doubts and faith, to a cross filled with God’s love and a tomb emptied as a promise of eternal life. Because He Lives, we can face tomorrow. Once again, welcome!

Pray!

DO YOU HAVE A CHURCH KEY?

Changes made in the Child & Youth Protection Policy published by the Florida Conference, made it necessary to review our church build-

ing key holders. If you have a church key of any type, please see Mar-tha Beneduci-Hall by April 14th. The alarm codes will be changed as of May 1st. If you try to use a key with the old code, you will set the alarm off. You can catch Martha at church on Sundays or call her at the Church office during regular office hours.

Thank you for helping us update our policies and procedures to be in compliance with Conference requirements.

A DEVOTION FOR THE THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT

The Holy Spirit by Terry Teykl

GOD’S PROMISE When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” —Acts 2:37

WORSHIP HIM Learn three different worship “words” in American Sign Language. Worship God with your hands.

PRAYER Lord you said it was to our advantage that you would go away so that you could send the Holy Spirit to convict and con-vince us. Holy Spirit, I ask you now to convict these of the one and only sin that will keep them out of heaven — re-jecting the Son of God. Grant them repentance. Convince them to accept the gift of right standing with God that is available in Jesus Christ. This is good and honors the finished work of Jesus on the cross. The prince of this world stands condemned, not them! —John 16:8-11; 2C Corinthians 5:21

LISTEN Be still and wait on the Lord for a specific direction to pray.

FAITH BUILDER But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said , “God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” —Luke 18:13

Lent has begun and Easter is only six weeks away. Once again we are going to have Mums beautify our chancel area for Easter Sunday. If you wish to give a plant/s in memory or honor of a loved one or friend, you will have the opportunity to do so again this Easter. The cost will be $13.50 per plant. Envelopes will be available at all en-trances to the church as well as at the church office. Re-turn the envelope by placing in the offering plate or to the church office. The deadline to place your order will be Sunday, April 14, 2019. Thank you. —Worship Team

FLOWERS

(I hope you find the devotion helpful as we seek to spend time with our Heavenly Father and reflect on the sacrifice and promise of Jesus.)
