You need to demonstrate a proven commitment to Year 10 studies to progress into Year 11
Why have a Personal Learning Plan (PLP)?
• A PLP will assist young people establish the necessary path to achieve their career goals and further education goals
• Assists young people to learn about themselves
• Assists young people to set realistic goals and explore how to achieve those goals
• It is a great way to help young people take responsibility for their future
YEAR 10 PATHWAY INTERVIEWS
• Know what your choices are (subjects at
school)
• Explore career Options (RESEARCH; talk to parents and teachers; attend career information sessions)
• Investigate career pathways (how to achieve your goal; mycareermatch online career profile)
• Match education and training to your career goals, QTAC prerequisite 2017

• Working towards a goal:– University entry (57%)– Apprenticeship/Traineeship (13%)– Employment (30%)
• All students working towards a Queensland Certificate of Education QCE
(or Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement QCIA <1%)
