RETURN AND EARN – Supporting our P & C

By recycling cans and bottles at local return and earn centres, you now have the opportunity to save our environment while supporting our school. Our hard working P&C committee have produced and printed a business card for every family to make the process easy. It would be great if families could scan the school barcode every now and then, which will deposit 10c per can/bottle into our P&C funds. All money raised by our P&C comes back to our school in the form of technology, updating equipment,

maintenance and refurbishment of grounds and facilities, and a lot more. Thanks in advance for any support you may be able to provide with this venture. If you require a card please see the Office to obtain one.

Ritchies Community Benefit card When shopping at Ritchies and by using a community benefit card linked to Wallsend South Public School then Ritchies will donate money back to us. These cards can be used at ANY Ritchies IGA store, supermarket or liquor throughout NSW, VIC and QLD by our staff, students and their families. If you would like to support us and you don’t already have a CB card please collect one at the registers next time you shop at ANY Ritchies store to use every time you shop. All you do is nominate Wallsend South Public School, It’s that easy!

Canteen News…

Our Canteen is in the process of putting our Menu on the Qkr! App as from Term 2 we will be on-line. So all you will need to do is place your child’s order via Qkr! App and we will process the order. Volunteers Needed… our Canteen needs your help. Each year a number of helpers leave and new helpers are always required to enable the smooth operation of the Canteen. The Canteen is run by our P&C Committee, operating five days a week with our supervisor Nicole Quinn and volunteers. Canteen profits are donated back to the P&C providing benefits to the school community. Our canteen provides a valuable service to the school, offering students and staff a variety of healthy food options available and at very reasonable prices. Volunteering in the canteen gives you an opportunity to meet other parents in an enjoyable and social environment. No skills are required as we provide all training. We also provide lunch and a drink.

We would really appreciate any assistance you are able to offer. If you are able to help, please contact Nicole Quinn on 0438 538 531, or at the school office or email [email protected]. This weeks volunteers are:
