Writing – Write a detailed description of your favourite item in your home. Remember to describe the elements that make it so appealing to you, as well as it’s physical appearance. Eg, it may be engaging, sentimental or expensive. Draw the item after you have described it.

2. Common Noun - a word (other than a pronoun) used to identify any of a class of people, places, or things. Eg child, school, desk.

3. Proper Noun – a word to name a particular person, place or thing. Eg Miss Drabsch, Australia, The Harbour Bridge.

Task: Walk around your home / yard and list at least 10 nouns sorting them into two columns – common nouns or proper nouns.
