Development Diary[Magazine Advert]

I used the same image from the back of the CD cover that I had previously edited for the magazine advertisement too. I think that this helps the audience to link the two together

and know what they are looking for. I also used the same font, which makes it more professional and also helps the audience to know what they are looking for when they go to buy the album that’s being advertised. To start, I created a new A4 page and put the image on top. I then added the text which I had to adjust the space between so that the

letters didn’t overlap, therefore making it clearer for the audience to read.

I added the rest of the information for the audience to know when the album is being released and who the band is. This is important information for the magazine

advertisement because it lets the audience know things that they need to know if they are going to buy the album. I used the ‘soft light’ transparency technique again for this

page.

The final thing that I added to the magazine advertisement was the band’s website. This helps the audience because as this is a debut album for the band and not many people

would’ve heard of them, it is a way for them to find out more about the band and have a preview of the music that they create. This magazine advert is simple, but eye catching, and I think that it looks very professional and well laid-out so it is easy on the eye for the

audience. It has all necessary information and isn’t over-worded or crowded.
