A message To our members
Hey, It’s already June; boy did my first month fly by. Well, the new WOTM Board and I are off to a roaring start. May 1, we held the Memorial for brothers and sisters who passed away in the last year. May 8 was free breakfast to all the moms on Mother’s Day and we had a super turn-out. Thank you to everyone who volunteered at morning. On May 21 we held our Annual Lodge Picnic at
Lake Minden; we had a fabulous turn-out.
Many, many thanks to everyone who donated
all the bicycles and other great prizes for the
raffles. All the children had a good time and
received a prize. Everyone had a great time
and most of us got a little sunburned.
Julie Shaw did her usual great job on May 21 at the Relay for Life; lots of walkers and we raised a really nice sum of $$ for the cause. Memorial Day was May 30 and we made lots of steaks, hamburgers, and all the fixings. Senior Regent, Doreen Rosales
Hello, brothers and co-workers. What a busy first
month. I would like to thank all the many volun-
teers who helped with a very busy Mother’s Day
breakfast, always popular; the lodge picnic, and
the Memorial Day BBQ.
On Sunday, June 19th come on down for Father’s
Day breakfast. All Moose fathers in good standing
will be treated to a free breakfast. There will also
be a Father’s Day dinner later that day. On the
25th the Six Hicks will be doing BBQ chicken quar-
ters. June 29th will be the 5th Wednesday dinner
dance with Cottonwood.
After an Analysis of the Social Quarters per Inter-
national’s suggestions, there will be an increase in
price on select items. The changes will be effec-
tive July 1st.
There will a sign-up board for our Fireworks Booth;
we are always looking for volunteers. The fire-
works sales are one of our biggest fundraisers of
the year. So remember to get your fireworks at the
Lodge. We will also have a BBQ on the Fourth of
July, come on down and join us.
My Super Moose for June is John Estrada. Thank
you, John, for volunteering at the Lodge.
Fraternally yours,
Russ Cote’

Our Moose BBQ Trailer is no longer topless! We have added a crank up angled frame and a sunscreen to block the hot sun and still lets the smoke out. Check out the
improvements at the Moose Picnic where we will be cooking your delicious lunch on your mobile BBQ. We thank you for all of the support!

Lodge Information
Picture Time
You would be right if you guessed Don Sturgeon and his late wife Ethel. Don has been a
member of our lodge since 1976. He was our lodge administrator for 12 years. Don re-
ceived his fellow degree in 1985 and was once District President. Don’s wife Ethel was a
College of Regence Member. She was also editor of the Moose Call and received top
award for best bulletin. Last year Don and his son Frank were the Membership Chairman.
And last year and this year Don is the LOOM Sgt-at-Arms. Don is always willing to step
up and help when needed.
Guess Who?
With the start of the new Moose Year, the Lodge’s new Board of Officers are ready and
willing to ensure that the new year is full of activities for all members and their qualified guests to
enjoy. And just a reminder, members are required to show a current membership card either upon
entry to the lodge or in the social quarters in order to be served. Remember to be courteous to our
volunteer door greeters and be proud to show your Moose membership card. All adult guests of
members must be signed in as a guest and leave when the member leaves. A prospective member/
guest shall be limited to two (2) visits, and expired members are not qualified to be admitted as
guests. These are requirements to protect our status as a fraternal organization, so please protect
your privileges of membership.
After a number of years, we are in the process of adjusting our Social Quarters prices as sug-
gested by Moose International. With the rising prices and increased labor costs, the House
Committee has made the necessary minimum increases and should be effective on July 1st. Thank
you for your understanding in this matter.

Thank You Moose Members! We had another very successful picnic.
We had many members and businesses
donate prizes cash and certificates for the
adult raffle. We were able to sell a lot of
raffle tickets and make money to help
cover the costs of the picnic.
Did you see all the bikes we had at the
lodge? We also had many members and
businesses donate bikes, prizes and cash to
purchase bikes. We had a lot of happy kids
on the day of the picnic.

Willie Moose says……
"Get your Dinner Dance
Tickets Early”
“With the Summer Months here, a lot of people
tend to go on vacation and typically the atten-
dance for the Dinner/Dances go down. If you
know you want to come to a dinner dance please
come to the office or the social quarters to get
your tickets early. This will allow the kitchen
crew to accurately order the food for that
function. If the lodge has more food than ticket
sales then the lodge can lose money. ”

you like and consume responsibly.
If you’ve had too much to drink . . .
