YIKAS Matanos L’evyonim

Rabbi Peled is accepting Matanos L’evyonim

funds which will be distributed here in NMB on

Purim day .בהידור רבYou may submit monies

for Matanos L’evyonim to Rabbi Peled anytime

till the end of Shacharis Purim morning. תזכו

למצות!!

The Rambam writes (Hilchos Megilla 2:17):

It is preferable for a person to give more

matanos l’evyonim than to have a more lavish

Purim feast or sending more portions (shalach

manos) to his friends. For there is no greater or

more magnificent happiness than to gladden the

hearts of the poor, the orphans, the widows, and

the converts. One who brings happiness to the

hearts of these individuals resembles

the Shechina.
