Introduction

Huawei U9120 is a middle end dual-mode Mobile phone

developed by HUAWEI. It is based on the QUALCOMM

6270 chipset.

It supports both WCDMA 2100 and GSM/GPRS/EDGE

900、1800、1900 frequency bands.

Installation

Once you connect the phone to the PC with a USB data cable, the installation and

operation of the PC Suite automatically completes.You can select the language in the

following interface:


SMS Management

You can manage the short message on your phone via U9120 PC Suite:

• Download short messages to the computer from the phone;

• Send and receiver short messages;

• Delete and modify short messages;

• Back up and resume short messages; (If you export from parent nodes (Phone, Local), the

format of the exported file is .mdb , which can be opened by the Microsoft Access and imported

into the software again.

If you export from child nodes (Inbox, Outbox, Sentbox, Templates, Recycle), the format of the

exported file is .txt, .csv, .htm, .xls, which cannot be imported into the software again. . )

• Support print messages.


Phonebook Management

• Support import and export phonebook; (If you export from parent nodes (Phone, Outlook,

Express, Notes), the format of the exported file could be .vcf and .mdb, which can be opened

by the Microsoft Access and imported into the software again.

If you export from child nodes (SimCard, Contact), the format of the exported file

is .txt, .csv, .htm, .xls, which cannot be imported into the software, or .vcf, which can be

imported into the software again.))

• Support create、modify、delete contact.

• Support send short message or chart with the selected friend;

Calendar Management

• Support upload and download calendars;

Media Management

• You can upload a media files to the phone or download a file to computer;

• You can upload any files to “Other” folder. You can only upload special file format

to other folders.

• Support delete media files on the phone;

• Support backup the media files to computer;

• Support browse and edit pictures on the phone and play video and audio files on

the phone.

Click“ Operation ” “Synchronization”, the Sync dialog will pop up.

Software Upgrade

1. Prerequisite

Check current upgrade environment

• Get a memory card that at least above 128M

• Make sure the memory card can read/write.


Software upgrade

2.Upgrad operation step

• Insert the SD card into the U9120 and connect with PC by USB，active Udisk mode

• Obtain the APP file to be upgraded in the version database

• Copy the dload folder to the root folder of the SD card. then

disconnect the U9120 from PC.

• Insert the SD card into the U7519 that need to be updated

• In mobile idle screen, enter *1673492846 and press the down

scroll key to access the engineering mode.


Software upgrade

2.Upgrad operation step

• Press 1 to select Memory card update ;

• Press 1 to select Update version management

• Press 3 to select Software update.

• The phone start to upgrade , in the process of upgrade, a white

screen is displayed for about 10 seconds. Then, a progress bar is

displayed. When the upgrade succeeds, mobile will restart

3.Check whether the upgrade is successful

• Check whether the version information is correct, enter *2580 and

press the down scroll key check whether the version information

is the same as that of the release version.

In the dial interface, input *2846579+Down，enter MMI test

mode.And you can do the following tests:

1.Touch lens Test

Touch sign follow prompt

2.Micro SD card Test

If Micro SD card is normal, LCD display Micro SD card ok,

otherwise, LCD display Micro SD card fail


3. LCD Test

Press Send

to switch.

4.LED Vibration Test

Keypad LED light and motor shake. Press Send to enter the next

test

5.Keypad Test

Press all key except “end” and “Send”, finish all key, press Send

to enter the next test

6.Earphone Test

Insert earphone to enter earphone keypad test mode, finish

earphone keypad test, press Send to enter the next test;

7.Voice Test

Speaker plays music, if insert earphone, you can hear music from

earphone. Press Send to enter the next test

8.Call Test

Speak to MIC, you can hear sound from receiver, if insert

earphone, you can hear sound

from earphone. Press Send to enter the next test


MMI test

9.FM Test

Insert earphone, LCD display “Antenna type: L”, otherwise, LCD

display “Antenna type:

S”; Insert earphone, you can hear the FM broadcast, press “>>” to

enter the next waveband. Press Send to enter the next test

10.Camera Test

Press Send to access camera test, you can see the picture from

LCD to check whether the

camera is normal. Press Send to enter the next test

11.Acceleration sensor Place the phone according the display of

LCD, level place, traverse place, erect place,

Press “Send” to finish all test.

Finish all above tests, LCD displays the test result, press “End”

key to exit test mode.
