Students need to be there by 9.15am ready for the marchpast of schools at 9.30am. Students should wear their red shirt and jumper and sport shoes. It’s often cold/frosty so make sure you bring warm clothes too! On arrival look for the red Towamba tent and flag and let the teachers know when you arrive, and get your name tag on (this helps the SAMs in the recording tent). Attached is a copy of the program including who is eligible from Towamba for each event or nominated for the field events. All students run in an age race of 100m. Students aged 8 and up are encouraged to have a go at the longer 200m and 800m events too. We actually get points for participation so it’s worth having a go. Younger students have a day of programmed ac- tivities as well. A canteen menu will be attached next week. Parents to help with timekeeping or at the field events are great- ly appreciated. It’s a great day to share with your child. Check the Reminders box to see if we are still waiting on your note. Student led parent-teacher conferences Students have been getting ready for directing the shared parent-teacher conferences next week. See the booked times on page 3 of this newsletter. There are still vacant spots and if you would like to take the opportunity please contact the office ASAP to reserve a time. NAIDOC Day at Jigamy Thursday 4 July Please return all outstanding notes to the office at your earliest convenience.Thanks to the parents for working out transport so that our students can make the most of days like this. Students need to be at Jigamy by 10am. Let teachers know you are there when you arrive. School uniform to be worn. A map and more details of the day will be attached to the newsletter next week. The day finishes at Jigamy at 2pm. Gymnastics Program This week students enjoyed their second gymnastics session at school on Monday, followed by the visit to the gym on Tuesday. Students will also be travelling into Pambula next Tuesday 25 June for the final day of the gymnastic skills program. Online payments Don’t forget that online payments can be made for any excur- sion through our school website using a Visa card. High School Open DayParents and senior students are invited to the Open Day at Eden Marine High School on Tuesday 2 July from 4pm. A great oppor-tunity to get that first look at high school.Next term there will be some taster days and other orientation days later in the year so that our Yr 6 students feel familiar with the transition to high school in 2020. All completed enrolment paperwork as been forwarded to EMHS. Thank you. NestsDon’t forget that once you have 4 eggs you can hand them in to be made into a nest to be presented at the end of term assembly. The last day to hand in eggs will be Monday 1 July.Earn & Learn StickersThe program is coming to an end on June 25th! There will be a huge amount of stickers needing to be sorted and stuck onto sheets so willing helpers are greatly encouraged! Don’t forget for every three completed sticker sheets you will earn a wild card! Additional sticker sheets available anytime from the office desk, and if you want more stickers just ask!Art daysMrs Macey will be back on Monday for another art day, devel-oping student works for next term’s SCLC Art Festival.Canberra Excursion Term 3 Year 5/6We need your green Expression of Interest note and a minimum $30 deposit to confirm your place with the organisers f you plan to go on the Canberra Excursion in Term 3. If you would like to request student assistance please ask. The total cost to parents is less than half of the full cost payable by the school.A reminder that the balance needs to be paid before the ex-cursion in September. Part payments are welcome and don’t forget that payments can also be made online via the school website. Your balance is shown in the reminder box.There will be detailed permission notes, program and packing lists next term.Cake RafflesThe first cake raffle starts on the last day of this term! A great chance to win a cake for the weekend as tickets are sold and the raffle drawn same day, each Friday until the Canberra excursion. Tickets are just $1 each or 3 for $2. There has been a slight change in the roster. Please contact us ASAP if it doesn’t suit.Reports Semester 1 student reports will be going home with students on Wednesday 3 July, the week following the student-led par-ent-teacher conferences. The newsletter will go home same day as students will be at Jigamy on the usual newsletter day.End of Term assemblyFriday 5 July is our end of term assembly and we hope to see many parents and community members there. We start with the P&C BBQ at 12noon, with the assembly to follow at around 1pm. We will have our usual term slideshow, music and student work,

P&C NewsFriday LunchesDon’t forget that tomorrow is hamburger day! No other lunch order options will be available, except drinks. Make your ham-burger order on a paper bag- re lettuce, tomato, cheese, sauce etc and enclose $4 for the burger. Extra for drinks.Term 3 lunchesA return slip is on the back page if you’d like to volunteer for lunches next term. Bournda Special Days Term 3Bournda Environmental Education Centre are running some more programs in Term 3, and we are again putting out an Expression of Interest form for our students in Stage 2 and 3. These days fill up fast and it’s also good when we get a group of Towamba students selecting the same day so don’t hesitate to mark your choices and return the form. Wild cards for fast notes too!

Playgroup will be changing to a Monday from term 3, meeting fortnightly frm Monday 29 August.9.30am in the MPR.
