Howard’s ProductAutomated Design System(PADS) is driven directlyby each customer’sspecifications to insure thatall the necessary

requirements are satisfied.PADS synthesizes eachtransformer design andproduces all criticalmanufacturing documents.PADS then links with asophisticated computer-integrated-manufacturing(CIM) system to automati-cally carry-out fabricationon the factory floor. ThePADS and CIM systemseliminate manualprocesses and theirinherent inefficiency anderror, and make it possibleto quickly modify andcustomize transformerdesigns.

AdvancedManufacturingHoward transformers aremanufactured in thelargest, most advancedfacility of its kind. Three-Phase Pad-Mounted Transformer Features

Howard Industries liquid-filled three-phase pad-mounted transformers are anexcellent choice for any commercial or industrial underground distribution system.Typical applications include manufacturing facilities, refineries, office buildings,schools, hospitals, restaurants, warehouses, and retail stores. All Howard Industriestransformers are designed, built, and tested in an ISO-9001 certified facility inaccordance with applicable industry standards.

Howard three-phase pad-mounted transformers are available in capacities from30 to 10000 kVA, with high-voltage ratings from 2400 through 34500, and low-voltageratings from 208Y/120 through 8600. All designs feature fully enclosed tamperresistant terminal compartments and can be supplied with dead-front or live-frontconstruction (Space-Saver 3TM style available with dead-front construction only), forradial or loop feed applications.

A wide range of features and accessories is available to satisfy almost any specialrequirement, including fuses, surge arresters, gauges, controls, cooling fans, pressurerelief devices, load-break switches, and high-voltage tap switches. In addition to thestandard mineral oil, alternate insulation fluids such as R-Temp, silicone, and seed-based vegetable oil are available for special applications.
