This is a shot from my title sequence. It is supposed to represent the average working class and the environment represents a ghetto because of the lack of colourful colours, it seems dark even in the day time. This environment is supposed to connect to people who live in the working class because of common connection between environment and class.

My title sequence instantly captures the audiences to notice the young male which implies that this is aimed towards young audiences because of the relation between the two. Mostly because of the Male’s face and the clothes he is wearing. The camera shot is eye level with the current actor this suggests that he is from the slums and he is meant to be there. Also the male is has a problem with his lips it has a polysemic meaning that would capture more of an audience because the lip could represent, bullying, side effects of narcotics or a possible disease picked up. Due to these meanings then the social group expands and people feel more involved.

This scene of title is a drug deal and the social group it represents is young adult males. It’s sort of affecting most classes (some more than others e.g. Working class tends to have a higher drug deals than High class) and environment. It represents the escape that most people want and will take anything to even get a little of, but on the whole it represents the problems that most social groups in these types of areas have to deal with.

These shots represent the type of things that usually go on after the day has finished and turned black. It represents the fun and stuff that people do during the afterhours of the days. There is small effect I tried to do where the buildings turned into beer cans I was trying to represent the corporate world as things that are bad for you. I wanted to do that because sometimes the working class hate their job and boss because sometimes the boss doesn’t work as much as the working class yet earns more than them. I wanted to represent that in a metaphorical way that the corporations are bad and they are ruining your life.

This is scene shows people who are in the working class are constantly under threat from death no matter where they are so they can’t relax and constantly under stress. This is more of a metaphor that links in with the people who are under stress. And the gun is a representation of society that’s putting the stress towards these people such as jobs, family, friends and people that will eventually lead to those people losing their lives and mind. It also gives a representation of the dangers within this city and what challenges these people go through.

I used clothing to represent the young teenagers in this sequence. These clothes represent someone casual and cheap. A hoodie, casual trousers and a hat it shows and radiates a feeling of a care free attitude and laziness, it represents the youth as lazy and unorganised rather than in control and with some degree of self-awareness. This is a common link towards the working class youth who don’t tend to have high class clothing and instead have sportswear. With the look presented the youth would have a connection towards this representation.

Another way I chose to represent the male social group was with smoking. Smoking is seen and treated as something normal and social within most communities. It represents that males are always doing something that’s bad for them and they don’t care about it, it represents males as people who enjoy the feeling of cigarettes and will go after it again. It also implies and addiction towards the male social group its suggest that males are addicted to bad chemicals and suggests they are doing others that are more harmful and illegal. And because of this they are seen as rebels in a way.
