blooM“Listen to the gnomes. They’d tell you how to live if only you’d listen”.

Emily Langley has mysteriously inherited an English garden watched over by a guerrilla gardener who doesn’t share her ideas about how it should look. Now it’s time to open it up and share it with the world, and she needs your help.

Bloom takes us through a hundred years of garden history, from a plot of land originally created by influential garden designer Gertrude Jekyll, through a Dig For Victory vegetable patch, against a background of Nuclear protests and on to the England of today.

An intimate, irreverent theatre experience: enter the garden and watch it grow before your eyes. Part of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Inspire programme.

Here she exhibits her beautiful altered books inspired by stories, memories, things from the past, over-hearings and misgivings. Imagine the stories such inanimate objects would tell could they speak. This exhibition is in association with Havant Literary Festival. See p32.www.bettypepper.co.uk
