    Εὐλογηµένος ὁ ἐρχόµενος ἐν ὀνόµατιΚυρίου.

    God is the Lord, and He revealed Himselfto us. Blessed is he who comes in the name ofthe Lord. [SAAS]

    Στίχ. αʹ. Ἐξοµολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ καὶἐπικαλεῖσθε τὸ ὄνοµα τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ.

    Verse 1: Give thanks to the Lord and callupon His name.

    ἤ· Ἐξοµολογεῖσθε τῷ Κυρίῳ, ὅτι ἀγαθός,ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ.

    or: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; forHis mercy endures forever.

    Ἡ Ζωὴ ἐν τῷ τάφῳ ἀνέκειτο, καὶσφραγὶς ἐν τῷ λίθῳ ἐπέκειτο, ὡς Βασιλέαὑπνοῦντα, στρατιῶται ἐφύλαττον Χριστόν,καὶ Ἄγγελοι ἐδόξαζον, ὡς Θεὸν ἀθάνατον.Γυναῖκες δὲ ἐκραύγαζον· Ἀνέστη ὁ Κύριος,παρέχων τῷ κόσµῳ τὸ µέγα ἔλεος.

    Life was laid in the sepulcher, and a sealwas laid on the stone. And as if guardinga king in his sleep, so the soldiers guardedChrist; and Angels glorified Him as theimmortal God. The women cried aloud, "TheLord has risen, and granted the world greatmercy." [SD]

    In the Holy Spirit is the source of divinetreasures; from Him is fear, understandingand wisdom; to Him praise is due, glory,honor and dominion. [SD]

    Unless the Lord build the house of thesoul, in vain do we labor; for without Him noaction or word is accomplished. [SD]

    As you see your offspring round aboutyour table like saplings, rejoice and be glad asyou offer them to Christ, O chief shepherd. [SD]
