• D7570 provided funds for an additional GSE team using DDF

Foundation is no longer supporting GSE.

What’s Needed?

• 5 – 6 areas with a host club• 4 – 5 host families in each area• Recruit team leader• Recruit team members

Duties of Host Clubs/Areas

• Teams are in your area 4-6 days• One host family for each incoming team

member• Provide private bedroom, breakfast, lunch

and supper (teams usually eat out at club meetings, receptions, and while sightseeing)

• Provide laundry facilities• Provides transportation to GSE Activities

GSE Activities• Teams provide 2-3 Rotary programs in each area.

Can be combined into a single area-wide program• Team members have full day of vocational activities

related to their particular vocation or interest• Have 1 free day per week to shop, rest, do laundry• Sightseeing – local attractions, businesses,

government offices, visit schools

Nominate Team Leader

• Team Leaders: Should be a “Seasoned” Rotarian

• Demonstrated Leadership Skills• Familiar with D7570

– Current or former club officer or board member, active on committees

– Attended district conference• No age limit, but physically capable of

keeping up with younger team members

Recruit Team Members

• From local community• Must be 25 - 40 years of age• Must not be Rotarians or related to Rotarians• Well along their career paths and interested in

exchanging vocational interests with overseas hosts.
