Established in 2001, AOII Properties supports the Fra-ternity through the coordi-nated ownership, mainte-nance and management of the Fraternity’s property and facility interests. AOII Properties services 133 chap-ter corporations across the United States and Canada including free-standing residential chapter houses, suites, townhomes, chapter

rooms and other facilities. Our serviced chapter corporations helped send over 155 additional collegiate members to Leadership Institute this past summer and we are looking forward to being able to send additional collegiate members to Convention in Los Angeles next summer.

This has been an exciting year for AOII Properties. We have purchased two houses, finished building one, completely renovated another and started construction on one. And, let’s not forget all the University- owned projects for townhouses, suites and new chapter rooms that have been overseen by Properties’ staff. We are actively searching for land or facilities at an additional four locations.

In 2014, over $10,000,000 was spent on capital expenditure projects for AOII facilities and over $400,000 was spent on wish list items for our chapters. This fall our AOII Properties Directors have been on the road visiting with chapters and members at eight house dedications and one groundbreaking. In addition, if any of us happen to be in the neighbor-hood of one of our chapters, we are stopping by to see what the Board might be able to do to enhance their membership experience.

As always, if you want more information on AOII Properties or any chapter, please reach out to one of the Board members or Corporation Services staff.

Fraternally,

Letter from Jane Tessmer |AOII Properties Board President

Alumnae Advisory Committee Training Opportunity The Fraternity’s Training Ambassador program provides additional leadership development training to the women who work directly with our collegiate chapters. The purpose of the Training Ambassador program is to offer education that develops personal leadership skills, improves commu-nication, and enhances relationships. See what AAC members who have already participated in a training are saying about the opportunity: “The TA was really helpful in moderating the conversations. She helped to keep us on track and focused on our role in supporting the chapter.” “We were able to establish expectations for each other, the chapter, and learn of the chapter’s expectations for the AAC. It was nice to make sure that everyone was on the same page moving forward.” “The TA visit was WONDERFUL - giving us plenty of insight and guid-ance as to the best ways to move forward as an AAC.” “We are a new AAC and this is my first year as an adviser, so I benefited from meeting the team and learning my roles and responsibilities.” To make a request, please click here to review the different trainings that can be facilitated by a Training Ambassador and let us know which one you think your alumnae advisory committee would benefit from most. We look forward to working with you to get a training visit scheduled for your AAC!

Get ready for the new AlphaLink

Updated. Enhanced. Rebranded. Relaunched.

You have known AlphaLink as the home for AOII reports and forms, and we are excited to introduce a new, rebranded AlphaLink that will have enhanced capabilities that allow this information to be linked to a chapter or member profile. It also allows our entire membership to stay linked to the Fraternity through updating their con- tact information so they can stay engaged and informed.

With this change, many of the processes and procedures that were found on AOII Portals or “old” AlphaLink can now be found in one place – the new database. We recognize that this is a big shift, and we want to provide all of the education that you need to make you feel comfortable with this change. You can listen back to the record-ing of any of the eight webinars we have hosted, view an FAQ page or download our users guides by accessing the ‘database information’ tab on the Fulfilling the Promise page.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Assistant Director of Chapter Services or Assistant Director of New Chapter Development. You can also contact [email protected].

· Data access

· Update your information easily and see it reflected automatically

· Update your chapter membership and officer/adviser roles

· Updated reports and forms

· Clean design that is easy to read and follow

AlphaLink’s new benefits

· Paper processes are now electronic; no more mailing paperwork to multiple places!

· Examples of electronic processes: affiliation form and standards paperwork (status requests, probation and suspension)

AOIIFoundation News

Thanks to donor support, 45 sisters experienced Leadership Programs this year. Of these 45 sisters, six attended the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI). UIFI applications are now available on the Officer Resource Library under the Leadership Academy 2015 heading for the 2015 summer session. We are thankful to our donors for funding educational opportunities such as UIFI for our members so that sisters like Kristan can be inspired to lead both within their

chapter and local community.

“I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity to experience UIFI; it was an experience I will never forget. The most important part of UIFI is taking the lessons I learned and blueprint I created back with me to my chapter and community. I have been inspired to reach out to my Greek Advisor and Greek Council President to share my vision of the community we could become in the future and how I believe we can do so. I also have a new aspiration to continue in my alumna years to work closely with our HQ, or even at HQ for that matter because of the alumnae sisters of other sororities I had met and saw firsthand how rewarding it can be. I am so proud to be a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi!”
