    Army Special Rules

    Hewn out of MountainsDwarven Hold armies always receive a +1 bonus on all dispel rolls.

    Ancient GrudgeAll models in Dwarven Hold Armies have Hatred towards Armybooks: Orcs and Goblin Horde & The Vermin Swarm

    RelentlessUnits containing only models with this rule may march even when there are enemies within 8. Infantry units

    containing only models with this Special Rule may march triple their movement if no enemy is within 8 at the start of

    its movement.

    Grim ResolveA model with this rule gets Thunderous Charge special rule. Furthermore it does not suffer -1 to hit when taking a

    Stand and Shoot charge reaction.

    Shield WallA model with this rule adds a further +1 to its armour save in close combat when using a shield against non-special

    close combat attacks from enemies in the model's front.

    EntrenchOnce deployment has finished but before moving vanguards and scouts, a model with this rule may entrench one war

    machine. The Warmachine counts as if in Hard Cover (but loses this rule permanently if it moves).

    HoldstoneAt the start of any round of combat, a model carrying the Holdstone may declare that he is using it. Once he does, he and

    his unit treats flanks and rear as front for the purposes of Parry, Shieldwall and Supporting attacks (to their

    flanks/rear). Note that they can still be disrupted. While the Holdstone is active, the bearer must always issue and

    accept challenges. The unit cannot pursue any enemies in the same combat the Holdstone was used.

    Once the combat is over or the bearer slain, the beneficial effects of the Holdstone immediately end.

    Yer comin with me!Close Combat attacks from models with this rule always successfully wounds on to wound rolls of 4+ (or better if his

    strength would allow it). Any model with this rule removed as a casualty in close combat may make single close combat

    attack immediately using same weapon choice used in Combat. All bonuses from weapon used and special rules apply to

    this attack. This attack must be allocated either towards the model that caused the casualty, or its unit (in that case,

    distributing the hits as shooting).

    Runic MasteryRunic Master Smiths, Runic Smiths and Anvils of Power may take these, under the rules detailed in the each Unit entry,

    and cast them as Bound Spells:

    Rune of Metal - Type: Augment, Duration: Lasts One Turn - Target may reroll failed armor saves.

    Rune of Resolve - Type: Augment, Duration: Lasts One Turn - Target friendly unit may make a 6" magical move.

    Rune of Reckoning - Type: Augment, Duration: Lasts One Turn- Target friendly unit may reroll failed to hit rolls inclose combat for one round.

    Rune of Oaths Kept - Type: Augment, Duration: Lasts One Turn - Target friendly unit gains Stubborn and Immune to

    Psychology for a round.

    Rune of Glittering Gold - Type: Augment, Duration: Lasts One Turn - Target friendly unit gains Blurry and Distracting

    for one round.

    Rune of True Grit - Type: Augment, Duration: Lasts One Turn - All To Wound rolls against target friendly unit receive a

    -1 penalty (not stackable

    Magical StandardsDwarfs can use Magical Standards from Common Magic Items list, as well as following Runic Banners. A BSB can take aMagic Standard as part of its Runic Item allowance. .

    All units within 6 have a Ward Save (5+) against shooting attacks.

    Runic Banner of Boldness (25 pts)

    The unit gains Vanguard

    Runic Banner of Dismay (30 pts)

    Units charging this unit reduce their charge distance by D6. It might lead to failed charge.

    Dwarven RunesDwarven Holds army do not use Common Magical Weapons, Armor, Arcane Items and Talismans. They use Dwarven

    Relics, or inscribe their own items with powerful Runes, creating Runic Items. Runic Items are adequate Magic Items in

    all aspects (i.e. Runic Weapon is Magic Weapon, Runic Armor is Magic Armor, Runic Talisman is Magic Talisman and

    Runic Arcane Item is Arcane Item). Each combination of runes form a unique magic item (which cannot be duplicated).

    RUNES

    Any Hand Weapon or Additional Hand Weapons can be engraved with up to 3 Runes from this set.

    Rune of Fury (15 pt each):For each of these runes Wearer has +1 Attack

    Rune of Might (20 pt each):For each of these runes Attacks are at +1 Strength

    Rune of Precision (15 pt each): For each of these runes Attacks are at +1 to hit

    Rune of Destruction (40 pt):Wounds caused by the weapon have Multiple Wounds (D3) rule

    Rune of Excellence (25 pt):Weapon's type changes to Great Weapon

    Rune of Haste (20 pt):For each of these runes Attacks are made at +2 to initiative

    Rune of Flint (5 pts):Attacks gain Flaming attacks special rule.

    Rune of Penetrating (40pts): Attacks by the weapon with this rune are made with AP(6)

    Rune of Smashing (40 pts): Attacks made by the Weapon are made with Strength 10 against models with Toughness 5

    or more.

    Any Suit of Armour can be engraved with up to 3 runes from this set:

    Rune of Shielding (15 pt each): Wearer has Ward Save (6+). It it already had a Ward Save, this is increased by +1 for

    each Rune of Shielding.

    Rune of Aegis (15pt each):Improves the Magic Resistance of the model by 1, to a maximum Magic Resistance (4).

    Rune of Iron (10 pt): Wearer has Innate Defence (6+). Each additional instances of the same rune improves Innate

    Defence by 1 (up to Innate Defence (5+).

    Rune of Steel (30 pt): The wearer may reroll failed armour savesRune of Mountains (30 pt): The wearer has +1 Toughness (to maximum of 6)

    Rune of Flesh (30 pts):Wearer gains 1 additional wound

    Rune of Illusion (40pts): Enemy rerolls successful rolls to wound against the wearer.

    Rune of Bashing (10 pts): Wearer has Impact Hits (1). For each additional rune add +1 to the number of Impact Hits

    Up to 3 of the following Runes could be taken as a single Runic Talisman:

    Rune of Fire (35pt): Wearer has a Breath Weapon (Strength 4, Flaming Attacks, Magical Attacks)

    Rune of Kinship (10 pt): Wearer has the Scout and Ambush special rule.

    Rune of the Forge (5 pt): Wearer has the Fireborn special rule.

    Rune of Courage (30 pt): One use only. May be activated at the start of any round of combat. For the duration of the

    phase, the wearer has Stubborn.Rune of Enfeeblement (25 pts): One Use Only. Max 1 per Army. Used at Start of opponents turn. Enemy units within

    24" must pass a Ld-test to be able to declare a charge.

    Rune of Infamy (20 pts): Wearer gains the Fear special rule.

    Rune of Retribution (35 pts):One Use Only. Max 1 per Army. This is used at the beginning of Movement Phase.

    Friendly units in 6 gain Devastating Charge Special Rule.

    Models with Rune Smith or Master Runesmith rule may take up to 3 of these as a single Runic Arcane Item:

    Rune of Spell-Disrupting (35 pt):One use only. Instead of making a dispel roll, you can use the rune. The spell is

    automatically Dispelled ( max 1 per army)

    Rune of Spell-Devouring (35 pt): One use only. Instead of making a dispel roll, you can use the rune. The spell is cast,

    but is afterward lost and cannot be cast again. This rune cannot be combined with Rune of Spell-Disrupting on the same

    item (max 1 per army)

    Rune of Mastery: (40): Once per magic phase, The bearer may reroll one power dice when casting a bound spell

    Rune of Brilliance (35 pts): The bearer adds a +1 bonus to all casting rolls when casting bound spells

    Rune of Harnessing (40 pts):Whenever the bearer successfully dispels an enemy spell, he may add +1 to the result of

    his next bound spell cast. This effect can stack.

    that unit become object of Hatred as long as they remain the part of that unit. If single model is the object of Hatred, and

    he joins the unit, the unit does not become the object of hatred.

    Rune of Cleansing

    - Type: Universal , Duration: Instant . If target is friendly unit, remove a hex spell cast on the unit

    previously. If target is enemy unit, remove an augment spell cast on the unit previously.

    An Anvil of Power may swap one or more of its Runic Bound spells for the ones in the Runic Mastery section. These are

    cast with Power Level 4 and Range 60.
