1.1 Short descriptionECdrive, the most frequently installed product in the GEZE sliding door portfolio, is being enhanced by new product features, such as a reduced cover height, optimised run-ning characteristics and more efficient installation.
In addition, a leaf weight of up to 140 kg can be achieved with an optional double roller carriage and the new ther-mally separated profile system GCprofile Therm.

2.2 Benefits and advantagesThe further developed ECdrive T2 builds on the existing features of the previous ECdrive and has been selectively optimised in the following areas:
Slimmer design Reduction of the cover height from 120 to 100 mm
Higher leaf weight – from 120 kg to 140 kg Thanks to the new, reinforced track and a new
double roller carriage (option), a leaf weight of 140 kg is possible.
The new thermally separated profile system GCprofile Therm is designed for leaf weights up to 140 kg.
This results in an increase of the maximum leaf size by almost 20 %.
More efficient installation Pre-drilled track for wall mounting at 400 mm inter-
vals (thus faster installation/installation preparation). Elongated holes in the track also allow the track to
be aligned more quickly and easily during installation. Cable guides for easy cable routing in the drive.
GCprofile Therm Combination with new GCprofile Therm in fine-
framed design and thermally separated fanlight. Fulfilment of the megatrend thermal separation with
high-quality workmanship and improved sealing of the system.
Glass thickness 32 mm as double or triple insulating glazing possible with UG values of 1.0 and 0.8. Maintenance
New service interface (optional) on the drive for simple connection of the service terminal or Bluetooth interface via jack plug on the cover.
Removal of the complete cover for reading out the data/parameters is therefore no longer necessary.
2 POSITIONING
2.1 Integration into the GEZE portfolioThe further development of the "all-rounder" ECdrive will continue to complete the GEZE sliding door portfolio for the existing products Slimdrive and Powerdrive as an economical alternative with an optimum price-perfor-mance ratio. With this sensible addition, the scope of the current GEZE sliding door portfolio is not only retained, but even improved and offers the possibility to react flex-ibly to the most diverse installation situations.

3 PRODUCT
3.1 ProductdescriptionThe ECdrive automatic sliding door system is suitable for a large number of motion cycles and is uncompromising-ly reliable. High-quality materials guarantee high perfor-mance at an excellent price-performance ratio.The further development of the ECdrive was based on the premise of strengthening the areas of design, leaf weight and installation efficiency.The cover height was reduced from 120 to 100 mm to give the drive a slimmer and even more elegant design. For ef-ficient installation and alignment of the track, it was pre-drilled and equipped with elongated holes. In addition,
the leaf weight was increased from 120 to 140 kg by an optional double roller carriage and thus offers approx. 20 % more leaf surface/per moving leaf.The outstanding feature of the new ECdrive T2 is the com- bination with the new thermally separated profile system GCprofile Therm and the thermally separated fanlight. Particular attention was paid here to ensuring that the coordination between the drive and the profile was clear-ly aligned with the design.
GCprofile Therm + thermally separated fanlightFor now, only combinable with the new ECdrive T2, the GCprofile Therm impresses with its fine-framed design.Despite thermal separation, an optically attractive profile view is made possible, which is of high quality and offers an improvement of the system sealing.The visible width is reduced by approx. 30 mm, which cor-responds to approx. 40 % compared to the previous ther-mally separated frame profile system.
Optionally, the GCprofile Therm can also be equipped with a manual hook bolt lock (Lock M) or a motorised hook bolt lock (Lock A), which leads to a clean separation of the trades, since no recesses have to be made on the floor.The thermally separated fanlight is available in single partition and partitioned version.
Reduced cover height in comparison between old ECdrive and new ECdrive T2
The new ECdrive T2 can still be used as a standard or es-cape and rescue route door with the usual special vari-ants:

escape route
Existing locking systems for the given applications as well as profile systems, depending on customer requirements, are still available.An optional Bluetooth interface makes it possible to eas-ily set the system’s parameters at any time.

3.3 Interfaces and connectivityLike all GEZE sliding door systems, the ECdrive T2 sliding door system is capable of networking and can be flexibly integrated via the GEZE DCU103 CAN bus interface and the GEZE IO 420 interface module via BACnet™ into net-working solutions such as the GEZE Cockpit.
This allows for fast, easy and standardised integration into building management systems. GEZE sliding door systems can therefore be easily visualised and controlled via building management systems.

3.6 Replacement of the current ECdriveThe further developed ECdrive T2 with a cover height of 100 mm will gradually replace the previous ECdrive with 120 mm. Further information on the exact replacement will be communicated at the end of 2019 on the basis of a corresponding phase-out information.
