Passier & Sohn has been a leading name in saddles, bridles and accessories made in Germany. This is thanks to ongoing further development in collaboration with top Passier partners in international sport. The most recent example of this is the Hubertus Schmidt II Dressage Saddle in an updated look. And there are some impressive new develop-ments, too: The Optimum Pony Dressage Saddle, for example, is a real eye-catcher and the Soft Touch Deluxe Stirrup Leathers are soft like velvet but also extremely robust.

The new Hubertus Schmidt II Dressage Saddle not only has an elegant appearance – it is also very comfortable for the rider and exceptionally horse-friendly.
The popular Hubertus Schmidt Dressage Saddle has been available since 2006 and is used by
hundreds of satisfied riders around the world. Now, nine years later, it was time to develop a further
dressage saddle. The new Hubertus Schmidt II Dressage Saddle combines many advantages of the
original model with some additional new beneficial features. The light-colored decorative stitching
means the saddle already looks sophisticated at first sight and, with the new “The Lifter” panels, it is
always positioned correctly on the horse’s back. A dream saddle for horses and riders!
TWO SADDLES – MANY ADVANTAGES Saddles which bear the name of Hubertus Schmidt have to be perfect for riders, of course, and especially kind and comfortable for the horse!

It's a familiar problem: The horse has high withers. This means:
the front of the saddle has to be raised to prevent it from lying
on the withers. In order to keep the saddle in a good horizontal
position, the panels also have to be raised at the rear. The prob-
lem is that if the panels are too thick at the rear, the saddle will
not always be in perfect balance. The solution is now provided
by Passier: “The Lifter” – the panels with more contact area!

This is a very good view of how quickly and how well the panels come out of the horse's back, due to the short, round form at the rear.
New: “The Lifter”
The welt extends through to the saddle flaps.
The panels are shorter, and rounder at the rear.
Perfect for horses of normal stature: The normal panels, padded as flocked as possible.
Side view: Plenty of space for withers, more contact area on horse's back.
Particularly good for horses with high withers, for example: “The Lifter” – the panels with even more contact area on the horse's back.

The short, round form of the panels means they come quickly out of the horse's back and will therefore not exert pressure!
The increased volume means extra high gussets are no longer required!
These panels are ideal for horses with high withers.The panels

Following the classic Optimum Dressage Saddle and the advantageous Optimum II Dressage Saddle,
this popular saddle is now available in a further version as an elegant Optimum Pony Dressage Saddle.
The attractively-designed dressage saddle convinces at a glance by means of its sophisticated anthracite-
colored decorative stitching. The thicker thigh supports keep the rider's leg in the correct position, and
the soft seat ensures riding is especially enjoyable. With its Freedom Panels, the Optimum Pony is also
particularly horse-friendly. The saddle is available in sizes from 15”, 15.5” and 16”.
SOFT, SOFTER, SOFT TOUCH DELUXE
The new, elegant stirrup leathers with light decorative seams are made of top
quality European cowhide. They justly deserve the name “Soft Touch Deluxe”
because they are velvety soft to the touch. The stirrup leathers are also hard-
wearing and as a result of the nylon insert will never stretch, no matter how
intensely they are used. To enable very fine adjustment, the stirrup leathers are
designed with 25 closely positioned holes. Best appearance in top quality!

BENEFICIAL LAMBSKIN PADS
The anatomically-shaped hard-wearing pad made of vegetable-tanned lambskin has highly therapeutic
benefits: It is shock absorbing and effectively prevents formation of pressure points therefore making it
perfect for horses with sensitive backs. The pad also promotes circulation and alleviation of tension and
is also beneficial for horses prone to allergies. The lambskin extends to the front of the saddle, where a
small edge forms an attractive trim, behind which the saddle can be well positioned. The underside of
the pad consists of original lambskin with 25 mm (1/10") deep pile. The outer side is made of cotton.
