This catalog contains a selection of some of our popular leathers for hospitality, commercial or residential use. These are leathers with “character”: waxy pullup leathers that will lighten in color when stretched, distressed leathers, vintage and antique leathers. These leathers are intended for designers who want a specific style of leather for their interior – a rustic cabin in the mountains may want a rustic-style leather for its sofas. Natural features such as healed scars, scratches and neck and belly wrinkles should be expected and appreciated as these are hallmarks of real, authentic leathers. Some of these leathers may fade with prolonged exposure to sunlight and will develop a beautiful patina over time and with use.

Please use each catalog as a suggested guide only. Any leather may be used for any application but we wish to make the designer or user aware of the characteristics of each of our leathers.

The leathers listed below feature several different styles: waxy pull ups with smooth finish, with crackly finish, intense pull-ups, antique and more, with a standard lead time of 1 – 2 weeks.

COLUMBIAC.C. LEATHERS INC.Columbia is a full top grain, semi-aniline dyed leather with a wax topcoat. Natural oils and waxes protect the leather and give this leather a smooth finish and ultra-glossy sheen. This is a modified “pull-up” leather: the color will lighten ever so slightly when the leather is upholstered, making it an ideal leather for those who do not want too much pull up effect.

These hides are designed to show all of the characteristics that demonstrate the natural beauty of the hide. Healed scars, scratches, insect bites and wrinkles will be apparent throughout the hide, testifying to its authentic, natural origin.

This unique leather is produced with a vegetable re-tan and a thickness of 1.2 – 1.4mm. The addition of oils and waxes, plus a surface glazed to a beautiful sheen at the end of production provides Passionate with a rich depth of character and elegance.
