A MESSAGE FROM TCH's President Dear TCH Friends and Supporters,With spring drawing to an end, we are looking forward to a summer season filled with energy and excitement. As the temperatures warm up, take advantage of all that we have to offer for your enrichment and enjoyment, while connecting with old friends, and making new ones in our beautiful historic building and on the largest covered terrace in Birmingham.Farm to Table Block Party Food FestOn September 12th from 4:00-8:00pm the streets surrounding TCH will be filled with vendors offering Michigan grown, produced or manufactured items for folks of all ages. Chefs from local restaurants will also be on hand to offer ample tastings of their featured restaurant dishes. Attendees will also enjoy beverages from local breweries and wineries on our beautiful tented terrace. Bring your friends and enjoy all that Farm to Table has to offer including “kid friendly” food and activities. Tickets are $25 pre-sale and $30 day of the event and $10 for children under 12. See p. 6.House TourPurchase your tickets early for the 28th Annual TCH House Tour on September 24th. The House Tour runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm. The tour offers some of the most outstanding and unique houses in Birmingham and Bloomfield. Make a day of it and include a stop back at TCH for a buffet lunch from 11:30am-1:30pm. Tickets are $40 in advance/$45 day of tour and $55 for tour and lunch in advance and $60 day of tour. See p. 5.Mother’s Day Brunch May 10th: Back by popular demand! DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP(Ages 10+ years)In this camp you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge of digital photography and use your camera to its fullest. We will work together on learning what your equipment has to offer, understanding the basics of digital lighting and what makes an interesting composition in a photograph. BAND CAMP (Grades 5-8)A fun band experience that will play to each child's strengths while providing them with the tools they need to be better musicians with their own instruments. FASHION CAMP(Ages 8+ years)Are you a Fashionista? If you are interested in Fashion this camp is for you! During this week long program, students will learn how to design through projects, and conduct a fashion show from start to finish. At the end of the camp, students will show off their looks at our fashion show, and have the chance to sell their product to the audience. FENCING CAMP (Ages 7-15 years) Used for recreation, fitness or competition, fencing is a European martial sport that develops balance, coordination, leg strength and analytical skills. ZOMBIE RESPONSE TEAM TRAINING CAMP(Ages 8+ years)In this “survival training” camp, learn preparation methods for the zombie apocalypse! Learn the skills vital for your survival in this brave new world of the undead. Outdoor survival is most important. Learn how to survive the elements and navigate in the wild. Parents, even though zombies are just fantasy- your kids will have a lot of fun learning useful outdoors skills and martial arts. JUMP ROPE SUMMER CAMP This camp is great for those who want to be active, have fun and learn how to jump rope. The focus will be on making sure participants have proper jump rope form and technique, while also teaching different jump rope skills and tricks. Jump rope camp will help to improve, agility, foot speed, coordination and conditioning. PARKING:Free parking available for the first two hours in the Chester Street Structure and all other Birmingham parking structures. There is a metered parking lot across from The Community House. Quarters accepted. $1 an hour (limit 4 hours).

• Materials fee is paid to the instructor at the class in cash.

• The Community House takes great care to ensure the accuracy of all information in our printed materials, however, we reserve the right to correct any unintentional errors and to substitute instructors when necessary.

TRANSFERS/CREDITS/REFUNDS: If you cannot attend a course as planned, you may receive a class credit. You must inform TCH three business days prior to the first class meeting. Credits may be applied toward the cost of any future TCH course within the next year from date of issuance. If you contact us less than three days in advance, you are entitled to a class credit valued at 50% of the class fee. If you contact TCH on the day of the class or after the class has occurred, you are not entitled to a class credit or transfer of any kind. Special events and certain courses are non-transferable and non-refundable. These non-refundable courses are indicated in course description. Refunds are given only if TCH cancels a class. Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days. TCH reserves the right to change class locations, schedules, fees, and instructors when necessary. Please no audio or video recording during classes without prior permission from the instructor.

MEDICAL WAIVER: If you are medically unable to continue in a course in which you are registered, a prorated refund will be issued upon receipt of a doctor’s note.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:TCH will not issue refunds for classes which have been postponed due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to reschedule such classes.

TRAVEL CANCELLATIONS• One day trips are subject to a $15 cancellation fee. If you cancel

less than 15 days prior to the date of departure there will be no refund. We will do all possible to resell the space and in that case you will be refunded all but the $15.

• No refunds are given for non-refundable expenditures (tickets, etc.) unless traveler cancels 30 days in advance.

• Cancellation on overnight, weekend and extended trips vary with the trip.

• The cancellation policy will be given to you upon receipt of registration.

• It is recommended that you evaluate whether travel insurance should be considered.
