Art on Display

Once again the students of the AEC will have there artwork on display during the

“Staatsburg Spirit Day” on Saturday, June 12. The show will be at the Staats-

burg Fire House (49 Old Post Rd.) from 12:30 am to 5:00 pm. Hope to see you

there!

Reminder: Additionally, student artwork will be on display again this year during the

Graduation Ceremony on June 25th. The show will remain up over the Pre-

Summer Recess. Please stop by and let me know what you think.

Cover for Graduation Booklet Selected

Over the last few months students in Room 119 (Christine C.) and Room 309

(Kathy K.) have been creating illustrations for the cover of this year’s Graduation

Commencement Booklet. And after much thought, I am proud to announce that

the honor of being featured on the front cover goes to Tyler “T.J.” S. (Rm. 309) for

his “Diploma” drawing (black marker & crayons).

Also, there were so many great illustrations that a few will be featured inside of the

grad booklet and in this issue of The Andersonian! Congratulations to all the fea-

tured artists!!

“Art Stars of The Year” Being Selected

I am in the process of selecting two recipients (North-Wing & South-Wing) of the

“2nd Annual Art Stars of the Year” award. The winners will be honored during

Anderson’s annual award ceremony at the end of this month.

As with the monthly “Art Star” award, the “Art Stars of the Year” award is given

in honor of each student’s artistic growth, talent, independence, and creativity.
