The Heritage Walks are a delightful way to know theculture and experience the beauty and grandeur of aplace. Students were taken around the school duringweek s, 5&6 to get to know and explore the school. Thisactivity helped them to know about their school, its richculture and about the philanthropists who extended theirimmense support in developing the school.

With an idea that students should know about theheritage of a place where they are residing, the Heritage Club has plannedto introduce the culture and heritage of Telangana tostudents through a plethora of activities.

During week no-7, a power point presentation about therulers of Telangana from Satavahana Dynasty to AsafJahi Dynasty was shown to students to inform aboutthe history of Telangana.

Monuments of Telangana include Heritagestructures like Charminar, GolcondaFort, Mecca Masjid, Warangal Fort,

Falaknuma Palace etc. During weeks -11 to13, Students madeflash cards and spokeabout the significance of thesemagnificent global icons.

In Telangana, one can clearly witness

the composite, pluralistic and inclusive culture and traditions. Theregion is a beacon of secular traditions and festive

glory. Different fairs( Jataras) and localfestivals are celebrated with great pomp andvigour. During weeks - 15 &16, after a powerpoint presentation about the differentfestivals celebrated in Telangana, students madecharts on Bonalu, a festival that celebrates Goddess

Mahakali and is considered as a thanksgiving for fulfillment of vows.

On 19th September, girls of Heritage Clubperformed a dance onBathukamma (a festivalthat indicates the beginningof Sharad Ruthuvu which

is usually celebrated beforeDussehra ) in the assembly.They were well appreciatedby the audience.

We will come up withmany more interesting activities about the stupendous

culture and heritage of Telangana. Until then………
